Joe Rugger, CPA, serves as the President and CEO of Joe Rugger, CPA, a firm created to serve individuals and small businesses in the realm of personal finance and small business accounting. 

Joe currently serves as the Director of Finance & Administration for a locally owned Prosthetic & Orthotic Laboratory. He supervises and directs the company’s administrative support staff that includes 22 employees. Joe is responsible for the front office staff, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, information technology, and marketing. He is also responsible for the development and execution of the Company’s business plan. He is a regular speaker at the Arkansas State O&P Annual Education Meeting.

Joe also hosts a weekly radio show in Little Rock on KABF 88.3 FM Monday afternoons from 5-6 PM called Get in the Financial Know with Joe. The show is designed to be interactive and take live calls and provide guidance on a wide variety of topics. Past shows include: tax tips, how retirement plans work, resume & cover letter tips & tricks, mock interviews, how to buy a house, and a wide variety of personal finance basics. 
 

Joe is a graduate of Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas. While at Lyon, Joe completed majors in Accounting, Economics & Finance.  He completed a Master’s Degree in Professional Accountancy at Indiana University’s Kellee School of Business in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Joe has continued his support of Lyon College in a variety of different capacities. He has served on the Lyon College President’s Council from 2006 to present. The council is an invitation-only group of distinguished business and civic leaders from across the state and region who share their expertise with members of the Lyon Board of Trustees, executive staff and faculty. Joe returned to campus in the Fall of 2010 and served as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and taught Principles of Accounting I. He serves on the TKE Alumni Board of Advisors where he consults with the undergraduate chapter on operations, finance and recruitment.

Joe currently serves as a member of the Emerging CPA’s Committee and is an active member of the Arkansas Society of CPA’s. Joe was named by the Arkansas Society of CPA's as the 2011 Outstanding Emerging CPA. He and his wife Haley reside in Little Rock.
